No surprise; just a promotional tactic to lure parents to PAC!

Minutes of Last Meeting
Motion to pass May’s minutes made by Annemarie, seconded by Mandy.

Executive Reports
Treasurer Report – Mandy
Gaming account $15885.79
Chequing account $8703.87
Haven’t paid out gymnast- money still needs to come out.
Fridge money will be paid back
DPAC Report – Sandy
Hilary- nothing since last meeting…statement letter from BC Confederation of Parent Advisory Councils talking about barriers between teachers and parents- parent volunteers need to feel welcomed in the schools. Hot Lunch – Georgina $262.50 from last lunch!
Fruit & Veggie Program – Yvonne
Really great- kids loved to help! Peppers not a hot item.

Fundraising
No More Fundraising for the year!
Dance nights- booking the gym for next year- January through March- Isabel said she’d organize
Potluck- Isabel is organizing- Thursday September 13th

Business
Missoula Theater- booked October 15-20; performance on Saturday
Teachers may be on job action
What we need from parents: concession, student plays piano (or Hilary); parents backstage; host the two people who come with Missoula; parents helping out backstage ; Pat Gilbert help out with lighting?
ACTION: we need to submit a request to the Board to waive the fee of Eagle Eye Theatre rental!!
New PAC Executive
Dieter- DPAC
Annmarie- Chair until October (until we find out about grant)- then hopefully someone else will take over!

Summer!!

Principal’s Report
·         Big thank you for the appreciation luncheon
·         Music Residency – Murikami – eg 5 Fridays
·         Numerous field trips for end of year- thank you for helping when you can. 
·         Choir is going very well – our students will be doing a little concert at Hilltop House on Wednesday 20th. 
·         Mrs. Doherty and her class are off to Kettle Valley for the bike trip the week of  the 18th. 
·         Amanda Morris, Gymnast in Residence is here from 11th to 18th. 
·         Grade 7 Farewell Assembly is Thursday, June 28th.- also last day of school for students.   
·         Have a great summer!
